I walked 36 miles this weekend. Why, you may ask, would I do such a thing? The answer is that I am training for the Avon Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk. The walk takes place May 3-5, 2002. I will be walking 60 miles from Baltimore, MD to Washington, DC. As I’m sure you can imagine, this walk requires a lot of dedication on my part.

I am participating in this walk because I personally know people whose lives have been affected by breast cancer. Three of my family members have been through treatment for breast cancer. My participation in this walk is a small contribution to support education, early detection, treatment, and research. The Avon Products Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, will award grants to organizations that improve access to quality breast care for medically underserved women and organizations that advance breast cancer research in the United States.

As you can see, I’m dedicated to training aggressively to complete this walk. And I need your help.
